ABOUT
Dr. La Monica is an Assistant Professor of Art at Molloy College. She has her doctorate in the history of art and religion from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California.
She earned her M.A. in the history of art from Syracuse University, and her B.A. in the history of art from Sonoma State University.
International education has been a vital part of her formation, having spent two years in Florence and two years in Rome, first as an International student and later teaching American students studying abroad.
Dr. La Monica’s motto is “beyond aesthetics” and she delights in using art as a vehicle for helping others go beyond mere visual encounters and delve more deeply into matters of greatest meaning and value.
